AMERICAN FORK, UT (November 16, 2022) – Russia’s most recent invasion of Ukraine in late February 2022 has displaced millions of civilians and left them without access to food, water, shelter, and other critical supplies. By partnering with local companies and institutions, Utah-based August Mission aims to help Ukrainians survive the long winter months ahead by collecting, shipping, and distributing life-saving supplies.
“Having just come back [from Ukraine], we learned that the coming winter is going to be especially harsh,” said August Mission Founder and CEO Bruce Roberts. “And, because Russia has impacted the power grid in many places, people in hospitals, elderly care homes, and refugee centers—places that may not have the best heating to begin with—are going to suffer greatly.”
- Donate needed items such as blankets, jackets, hats, gloves, and other winter apparel at one of two dropoff locations in American Fork and Orem, Utah.
- Purchase high-quality, sub-zero sleeping bags at a discount from partner TETON Sports to help people in Ukraine stay warm this winter.
- Make a monetary donation to help cover shipping and distribution costs required to transport the items needed.
