Fahrenheit XXL Sleeping Bag

I absolutely hate mummy bags & regular sized square bags are still too small for me. I like to toss & turn like a rotisserie chicken & spread out so I was looking for an extra wide bag & thought this would fit the bill. I finally got to try it out last week on a camping trip around 9,000 feet on Tin Cup Pass, it got down to 32 at night & man oh man I was toasty warm all night. The nylon outer skin & inner flannel lining was soft & warm & the bag is long enough for me (5’10”) to bury myself good & deep into it. I love the built in baffles & cinches at the shoulders as they do a great job in keeping a draft coming in around your shoulders, that design is genius!

Now, here is the one negative I have about the bag, I’m a big guy, average height but at 275lbs with really wide shoulders & chest, as I mentioned I like to turn over & I am a side sleeper. Every time I flipped around my wide shoulders would cause the bag to bunch up & the zipper would unzip exposing my back or front to a draft & then I would have to get straightened out & zipped back up. There is a Velcro tab to prevent the unzipping but half the time it popped loose & unzipped anyway. This is a minor inconvenience, the bag itself is still a **** of a bargain & for average sized people will probably be more than enough room but, if you are a bigger framed guy or gal who really likes to spread out you may want to consider getting the mammoth size which is what I am about to do.

I bought this affordable sleeping bag before I went on a mountain camping trip in Colorado mid November 2023, and Southern Utah canyon country. Coldest Morning waking up was in Crested Butte at 4 degrees F. I slept on a mattress in the back of my Wrangler Rubicon with the rear seats folded down with the sleeping bag zipped completely open like a comforter and it kept me and the dog warm all night long. I've also used it outdoors up at my sticks place in NE MN not far from west end BWCA and Voyageurs National Park where it commonly gets super sub zero during the winter, and I was comfortably warm all night long. Trust me, with no light pollution near the BWCA, it is an awe inspiring joy sleeping under the stars where the Milky Way is brilliantly bright, and to do so in the winter up here, you need a sub zero sleeping bag. I highly recommend this product, and for the $119 I paid for it, just can't go wrong. Great buy!
