I’m 5’ 9” and about 245. I used this cot for a week straight while on a camping trip. I found that when my feet hung off the end the rail hurt my feet. Naturally I would scoot up. This put my hips right where the middle legs brackets land. This in turn gave me bruises on both hips due to trying to move away from one side to another. If I order again I’ll most definitely get a wider version to stop this. We do this trip every year and in the past I’ve had issues (on other brands) with the middle leg brackets failing where I sit up in the mornings. This cot did not have any issues with that so I’d say it’s pretty solid. I do use some boards to help with this issue. Overall it’s a solid cot but for a bigger person you will need a wider version.

Bought two of these (one Adventurer, one universal) to upgrade from an air mattress for this years outings and let me tell you -- what a game changer -- not once did we wake up with our backs hurting, or feeling "sticky/stuck to it" due to the heat. It truly elevated our camping game to "glamping" and I'm glad I made the investment! The assembly/breakdown is super quick (I wish my tent was that easy) and the carrying bags are a life saver. When I had questions and concerns the customer support team was quick to answer everything and make sure I was entirely satisfied with the purchase. If you're like me -- a person who camps vs hotels to save money. You won't regret "splurging". All in all between the cots and the pads I paid roughly what two nights at a hotel in the area we go beaching would be and the fact that these have a lifetime warranty, were easily setup, comfy, and have a lifetime warranty makes the investment worth every penny. We spent 7 nights on them so far and I'd buy them again in a heartbeat.

We just received our cots last week. The ease of putting them together was seriously a matter of seconds. That blew me away! My husband said laying on one seemed to realign his back. That’s saying something. Stoked about this product and would buy more if your products. Price, quality and comfort is really hard to come by. Two thumbs way, way up!!

I am a big guy and use the Outfitter XXL/Vista with sleeping pad and extended rainfly as a mainstay. Recently, to save the high cost of hotels during fishing adventures, I recently started camping in my Suburban. The Outfitter XXL fit, but used up most of the room in the back. Taking advantage of the last sale, I purchased the Adventurer Regular with matching sleep pad and although smaller, I still get the same great comfort, equal weight rating and now have plenty of room in the Suburban to move around. Coupled with my Celsius bags, I feel like I'm sleeping at home, no matter where I go!

Awesome cot. I'm 5'10" somewhat fit build and it's a good comfy fit. Pivot arm makes it super easy to attach the 2nd cross bar. Stores in a nice size l. Sturdy.

Pivot arm is a great idea, but the cot seems to squeak more on the frame from lateral pressure and movement more than the military cots do, and all i can attribute it to is that there is some additional structural strength derived with the military cots, due to their rigidity, once fully assembled, that Teton hasn't caught up with yet. However the swivel arm is definitely a game changer regarding setup/tear down time

A few years ago I bought two of the XL camp cots for me and my husband for the ultimate comfort experience in our very large cabin tent, and we love them, and have used them with the addition of blow up pads reliably for a few years. Sooo comfortable! I needed a slightly smaller profile cot for use in a smaller tent that I use for solo camping. The XL just barely fit into the smaller tent, and I was worried it would snag the mesh wall, etc. So I got the Adventurer Cot after reading it's dimensions so I could have that great, easy set-up red guide-arm thing, the reliability, the strength, and firm comfort of a Teton Sports cot, but know that it will fit better into my smaller tent. I set it up the other day, and it's just great. I have a blow-up back-packing pad that I put on it so it's even MORE comfortable, and it will be perfect for next summer. Now I don't have to worry about damaging my tent mesh wall b/c it's shorter in length. Just for those of you who may care... I can get up and out of my XL cot, even though it's a little tall off the ground for me (even at 6' tall), but sometimes it's a struggle if my legs are tired from hiking, etc. But the Adventurer Cot is easier to get up from b/c it's a little lower to the ground. So anyone in the weight limit of the cot selections may care to know this if they want to choose a cot a bit lower to the ground. I volunteer all my Teton Sports cots to friends and family for when company comes over and people need extra…
